I know people seem to have a lot of harsh criticisms of this game these days, what with a few unpopular updates... but what would you say to someone with a bit of interest in picking this title up? Is it too late to join in, with a dwindling online population and patches slowly ruining the game... or is it still a good game with a healthy fanbase?

Anyways, is this a good time at all to get into the game? Or are it's best days well behind it?

MAG is dying based on what my clanmates have said to me, so I think you're better off not getting the game. I've played it for a year and a half now, as long as I've had my PS3, and you were better off getting this game last year. I haven't played in a few weeks, so I don't know for sure the conditions of MAG as I type though.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was suspecting. If I go the FPS route, maybe MW3 is a better alternative. At least I know people IRL who play that so it'd probably be entertaining.

i just 100% this game today, i worked myself like crazy to get this done before christmas as i predict the main game mode in MAG will be dead along with the DLC once christmas hits which is a shame because this truly is one of the best FPS games i've played but yea you may stand a better chance with MW3 to be honest.

I still play fairly regularly today. If you do pick it up, be sure to use multique, and preferably have a few buddies in your faction to play with. Be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes before getting in a match, though. I kind of wish a sequel or whatever released so I could experience this game again in its glory days.

This game got better and better as they made patches, loved the game sadly not looking likely they will do a sequel

Just thought I'd give anyone who's interested an update on MAG.

The lag has gotten absolutely horrible. It's nearly impossible to play domination, and the walls in sabotage might as well be made of paper. In addition, because of said lag and lack of players who are aggressive/have skill, it's almost impossible to get repairs or destroys, because if you try and go out of the way, more often than not, you'll find yourself against a pack of scrubs running around with shotties and LMG, which makes the platinum at this point nigh impossible unless you have good luck, a lot of skill, and incredible patience.

Granted, it's still better than MW3, but if you want a game strictly for fun, at this point, I strongly advise against getting it.

This is too bad. This game had so much potential it just was not fully realized. It is also too bad there will never be a sequel since Zipper closed that could have fixed the issues from the first game.

I see quite a few people playing this but it's mainly Sabotage which is a shame.  I really want to get in Domination matches as well as the DLC modes.  If there are any people out there that want to try to get something going let me know.

I have decided to try polish this game off, as I only need one trophy for platinum, I have 51 of the 58 medals to get the last trophy i need,!1
