I've read that you can play these levels with LittleBigPlanet 2 (which may or may not actually be true). If so, can you still earn the trophies for it? This is an issue for me because I no longer have the original game.

You can play LPB levels in LBP 2. As for the trophies, don't know. Fire it up and get back to us on that. I don't have LBP2 yet to give you the answer.

The point of asking is so that I won't waste my money if it's not compatible, so I won't be getting it until I have complete confirmation.

I wouldn't know for sure without trying, but since they aren't Little Big Planet 2 trophies... it makes sense that they wouldn't count unless earned on Little Big Planet 1.

Well, I'll find out. I won't play the Pirates levels anymore until I get LBP2 and then I'll try to complete them using it. But, ya'll might be waiting a piece, as I don't have any future game purchases on the horizon until I goes back to work from this medical stuff.

I've been guessing that you can't earn those trophies on LittleBigPlanet 2, but I would have also guessed that you couldn't play the content at all from LittleBigPlanet 2, so that has left some doubt in my mind. I'd imagine it's possible as long as you have the LittleBigPlanet trophy information on your list.

Yeah, I'm just saying I don't think there's ever been a situation where you could perform the action to unlock the trophy in one game and actually unlock it in another. I would just think the content that transfered over from LBP1 to LBP2 is just like a "port" of those levels.
