After playing the demo of this game, I have to say- I am somewhat impressed. The ability to quad-wield (2 Darkness tentacle-things and 2 guns) makes combat thoroughly entertaining, and the gruesome ways to end your enemies makes it over-the-top. I am intrigued by the story, but I do hope Jackie doesn't bitch about his girlfriend the WHOLE game.

What are other people's thoughts on this?

I liked the original...more than most people...so I'll probably dig the sequel.

Just finished the game, fantastic story and some great gameplay just some of the parts (i won't spoil it) were a bit stale

Well at a guess, I'm somewhere around halfway through, and I can honestly see me playing the SP again on this due to it just being awesomesauce.

OK, Maybe not the longest game, but for a change its not a bad thing. The story is 6 - 8 hours and there is no padding at all. Its balls out action, wall to wall, all the way through.

Also, if you choose to reject the asylum, make sure you wait until the credits have finished for the full ending.

I'm now playing through the Vendetta's of which I've finished the first.

Its at least worth a rental even if you arent an FPS fan.

I'm a FPS Fanatic and since you say it has nonstop action.....I believe I may give it a spin. I love COD's insane intensity and if this is anything like that.....I'm all for it!

The action is far over the top, and despite Jackie moaning about his dead girlfriend for 8 hours, the story had some good points (such as Johnny Powell, who was hilarious) and the Vendettas were nice.

Got my platinum last night.

Damnit, I need to finish this game. I loved the original and while this ones story isn't quite as good the gameplay is way better than the last game. The art style is great as well and makes the game look really good, in my opinion.

It's a great game and FPS, one of my favorites of this year so far! If you've $20, go to your local game store and pick up a used copy; You can play & plat this within a day, I did it.

Really liked this game alot but I wish there was more replayability besides Vendettas and NG+. And whilst the story is great, the ending surely made me scratch my head as it felt the Devs. couldn't wrap up this storyline without wanting 2KGames to make a franchise out of it. Hopefully the sequel to this is long lasting and has great replayability.

Thanks for the info. I forgot about this game AGAIN!!! I am really busy on college, and also have a huge amount of games that I am working on all at the same time.....for instance: MLB 12 The Show (PS3 and Vita versions), Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Ratchet and Clank Going Commando, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, Killzone MP, Motorstorm RC (final 2 DLC trophies for both versions), Mass Effect 2, and soon to be Dead Space 2, not to mention I need to get back to Extraction .....on top of all of these, I have the MW3 DLC trophies to finish, and one last zombie trophy on BLOPS, I might include Welcome Park, but I'm not sure. I literally am going back and forth between each and every title, thus it is fair to say I am working on them all at once during my free time. Fortunately many of these are down to their final one-three trophies. Maybe once these titles are completed, I will eventually get to this title. The good news is that it will have been out for so long I can probably pick it up for a dollar lol

It's your choice but I'd suggest getting Killzone 3 MP out the way as the online was dying... Going to buy StarHawk MP soon!!! Hopefully it's good!!

Thanks my friend. Fortunately all I have to do trophy wise is rank up like 5 or so levels. I can play any map or game mode so I have options and don't have to worry about playing a specific map any longer. I hope that you enjoy StarHawk, I heard the platinum takes hundreds of hours, so have fun!!!! lol
