Bethesda has announced the official name of Skyrim's first set of DLC.

Dawnguard is Skyrim's first DLC, according to Bethesda's Blog. It announced the name of the DLC with the image you see above, and not much else, other than a summer release window. We don't know a date, or anymore details, but Bethesda has previously announced that Skyrim DLC will head to Xbox 360 first.

We will find out more about Dawnguard at this year's E3

Microsoft pays out of the ASS to get dlc exclusive first. I don't get the point though, it eventually is released to all platforms. It also gives the sense that Microsoft is desparate to stay in the game.

lol yeah i dont get the point of it either. by the time it gets released on ps3 it will be fully patched and all. xbox will have it glitchy and unplayable (especially considering its skyrim)

When i saw the title of this thread upon clicking it i was like "please let this be Skyrim " & im so glad it was. Iv not touched Skyrim since getting the platinum in December because of the many problems with the game and i kinda expected there to be some dlc by now. I hope its a big dlc and not just a small area added to the map with 1 main quest line and a few side qusts, hopefully its a full blown expansion.

They've never really said. All that's said, from what I remember, is that they just vanished.

The last Dwemer you're talking about, while he did likely die [in Morrowind, due to Corprus]

That's only one of them - what we mean is what literally happened to the entire race.

Where'd they go? What caused them to disappear? There's nothing really known about it - and it would make for a great storyline either for a DLC expansion, or a new TES game.

You are right it looks like a zombie related pack, and he looks like he is in a similar position as "Sitting Bull" on the front of Black Ops 1.

i hope you do realize i was implying skyrim fell down to call of duty's level, which is the worst of the levels of games right? the developers of the game sold their humanity to microsoft by letting them have the skyrim DLC early, just like its being done with call of duty. i find it funny cause nobody cares about call of duty DLC anyways

Don't forget the Oblivion DLC which PS3 never even got. Given, it was crappy DLC and Shivering Isles (and Knights of Nine to a lesser extent) were all that mattered, but it's still bad. At least PS3 is actually getting the Skyrim DLC...unless they cancel it for PS3.

Yes, I got what you were saying, but still Call of Duty's DLC is undeniably VERY popular. Have you looked at the sales numbers yet? They are extremely good. Also, I do not think the DLC art looks bad at all. Of course this all comes from a Call of Duty fan, so there is absolutely some bias. I do agree concur with your irritation over Microsoft ALWAYS getting DLC on their crapbox 360 first. It is maddening as hell, and I am ticked that Sony has not bought early DLC contracts as well. Frack Microsoft to heck!!!!

Shivering Isles was on PS3 version of Obivion.

well, we get all the battlefield 3 patches and DLC before xbox. so thats good.
