Dawnguard was today released for PC, but PS3 will most likely never see Dawnguard or at less that's what Bethesda statement led me to belive:

We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard's performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren't going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people's experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We're as disappointed as our fans when that isn't the case, but we'll continue to push for that reality.

I personally really want Dishonored on PS3, but this makes me consider not even getting it.

Yeah, I dunno if I want to buy anything else from them. Just as well that they're turning Elder Scrolls and Fallout (the two things I'd likely like from them) into MMOs, which I despise.

Joystiq seem to understand Bethesda word as: We working on improving Dawnguard, so safely can release it on PS3

Its probably because of the initial problems skyrim supposedly had. Personally I never had any problems except for the game crashing once or twice..

there will never be a Fallout MMO because of the VATS system.

and it will be coming out for us we just have to wait even longer than we already have that is one downside for us PS3 owners Sony made the console different from the norm and i hate to say it but Xbox has more people so it will always be made on xbox then ported to us but since the PS3 is so different things like this can happen. and i don't know about giving up on the company because of this. who cares when we get the DLC except in the case of Fallout and Skyrim i never buy DLC all i care about is the actual game and even though i really want to play this expansion i would rather wait and have a good version instead of an unplayable buggy peice of crap

They cant afford to not release it on PS3. Bethesda just has to make it so it's only as buggy as the main game was. Haha! The shame is, I will buy it knowing there very well will be game-crashing bugs (unless there aren't any trophies of course ) which brings me to my next question...

Took Microsoft (who has almost unlimited Money) 5 year to finish the 360, so the question is how long will Bethesda take to learn PS3?

I'm a fan of Skyrim who has played over 300 hours on that goddamn game. I literally jumped out of my gamer's chair after I read about the DLC's announcement. I mean, what's a Dovahkiin without Dawnguard? Well, I guess now I need to boycott Bethesda...

IMO - As someone who has been bitten not once, not twice, but thrice by bethesda I've ruled out buying anything further from them that runs on the engine that they use. I don't care if Dishonoured gets 100% and includes a free golden ticket, I refuse to spend my money on a product that isn't fit for purpose.

All that and the many other butthurt thoughts aside ( I could go on for days.), at least Bethesda are finally doing the right thing for the fans and saying, "We aren't going to release it broken. we'll try and fix it first." which is what many of us were crying out for after the Skyrim bebacle. Here's hoping they can restore a bit of faith in their testing procedures and as a company to the PS3 user base.

The title is misleading. It'll be released eventually, they're just fixing it before they release it. I've had Dawnguard for less than a day (I play on PC) and it's crashed my game twice now. I haven't had problems before the DLC so be happy they're debugging it for you first.

Really? You're going to boycott because they delayed the game? Have the patience of Half-Life/Valve fans. It'll be out eventually and it will be glorious.

I hope that doens't come up or for reward for making PS3 fans waiting, for a week the DLC should be free or else it shouldn't see the lights of the day because I had this game borrowed from a friend and after playing to 100% to now having down to 80 or more is shit, I only hope this game don't bring DLC trophies.

Dawnguard has Trophies (at less 360 version has Achivements)

Kinda wonder, if Bethesda waits for 1.7 to release on PS3, since 1.6 is require to get Dawnguard

you people should relax. dont forsake Bethesda they make some amzing games and so what if they are buggy as hell at first with the size of some the games it is to be expected and they eventually end up fixing the games later (for the most part) just enjoy the experiance and be happy that they make the amazing games that they do

Of course, I want Dawnguard to work well on release, but I can't pretend i'm not annoyed by it. It was said that microsoft would have 30 exclusivity, but 30 days went by and bethesda said the ps3 version doesn't even have a planned release. Annoyed? yes. Raging? no.

I'll only boycott if they don't release Dawnguard. I mean, in every game they've released on the PS3, we've been screwed. I guess that's what happens when you don't have Bill Gates at your disposal.

Let me preface this to say I make no excuses for any Developer when they release games that are glitchy.

I do find it amusing how many people, despite knowing Bethesda's games are glitchy, still buy or play them knowing that fact then complain when, guess what....it's glitchy. Just as there is no excuse for releasing glitchy games, if you are buying and playing these games knowing that fact, whose fault is that?
Not the developers.

Thankfully, with a little over 183 hours logged in SKYRIM, I have only experienced a few minor glitches. Some funny, the others simple lock-ups.

Now, in regards to Dawnguard: If indeed they are trying to work out any bugs, cool, I am willing to wait.
