I just beat it for the 3rd time (played through it for the 4th) and decided to go Deal at the end instead of Revenge. The story in this game is really superb, top notch stuff. That's all I wanted to say.
I guess I should finish this game. My problem with GTA is that the missions are so varied that I always end up stuck at some point.
Zairozen- Wow, he can hold his beer as well (Sammy adams). *Applaud* I underestimated you, SteelSatan.

DJ13202- "I change my mind about a news team...Steelsammy should just be dictated news team because every piece of news I really even care about comes from him...so no news team...just...SAMMY"
---------
AlteredFormula- "Sammy!! I think I love you!"
---------
BDKSimba- "gonna call U sammy badass from now on"

I enjoyed the hell out of GTA on the PS2, but never really looked into the PS3 version.
How is it compared to the older versions? Is it basically a cookie-cutter of the older games (which is why I never picked it up), or does it actually offer something new to make it worth looking in to?
I would have to say compared to older versions its way easier on the story.
But I wouldn't really say it offers anything new just same old same old GTA. In terms of graphics and that its alot better and has some new feature like being able to catch a cab anywhere and stuff like that.
I cannot wait for the new GTA but that will defiantly worth getting for me

Far from Cookie Cutter. The story of Grand Theft Auto IV is probably the best in the entire series, and though you may find some missions familiar, many of them are original (i.e, steal diamonds from the Smithsonian museum, or shoot up a yacht from a helicopter).

It's a bit looser version of RDR in the controls. They aren't as tight as I've come to find RDR's are. The storyline is as good as RDR, but it's a bit harder to progress along it because of that. If you are going to pick it up, make sure to get "The Complete Version" which has the 2 add-on packs included. You can tell by seeing them listed on the front of the case.
My brother-in-law was "shocked" to find out that both games were done by the same studio. He was actin' all superior about RDR before I got it, and he seemed all deflated after I told him, w/o playing it yet, that RDR was nothing more than GTA w/ a healthy dose of Clint Eastwood tossed in.
He didn't want to talk about it anymore after that.

I absolutely loved RDR an need to get back into that one for the DLC. I never got the DLC then because I... Well, I didn't buy any DLC then. GTA IV pales in comparison to RDR IMO.

I really loved GTAIV which gameplay wise didn't bring much more to the table but this didnt matter as it was awesome.
I also loved the 2 dlc packs especially "the ballad" which was HILARIOUS.
Can't wait for GTAV!!! (I just picked up sleeping dogs just to wet my appetite for open-world awesomeness

While this game lacks in story and cool bonus features like mentioned above, it makes up for with some fun game play and it really shines with the radio stations, some of the talk shows and commercials being just side bustingly funny.
