If some kind soul with all of the animal orbs in this game were to host a game for me and swap the orbs (as in, he picks up a new animal and I grab his)... can I get the trophy this way?

Seems a bit easier than grinding for gold for weeks to buy all of them, if I can find someone nice enough to help.

not sure if you can grab your friend's animal orb if you've never got the animal by yourself. however, if you can, then you can unlock the trophy that way.

I think I recall reading that you can unlock weapons this way. Which is what gave me the idea.

Any confirmation on this would be sweet, otherwise I'll need to find some poor unsuspecting forumgoer to help me "boost" Castle Crashers and try it out.

You can't trade animal orbs. It will work with weapons just what Dreakon139 said.
