If you, like me, read all of the journals in Resistance 3 you may be wondering about Malikov's journals. He states that he found Chimera tissue and tower samples that had been on Earth for millions of years- possibly before man. But he never manages to (and doesn't really try to) answer the question- what kicked the Chimera off of Earth?
Any thoughts or clues as to what, or who, forced the Chimera to retract their towers and leave Earth?

Back during the first game, there was a lot of talk about it being the cloven. Everyone assumed they would make an appearance in one of the games, but we have yet to actually see them as a major part of the campaign. There's some multiplayer skins of them, though..
