How does the coop work in this game? Do you play through the single player campaign with a friend or is it special coop levels and stuff? And it's splitscreen right?

I haven't played through it myself but I took a look at the options earlier and there's SplitScreen or Online. The co-op is made of special quests that can only be played through co-op (I think).

Drat. This game seemed like it had potential to be a cool living room coop romp, but another game to spoil it by limiting it to special coop missions/quests/levels.

Don't take my word fully, I actually haven't played it yet. I'll check later if I remember to do so .

the only thing i played was a mission through a jail type area... nothing more...
I have been very preoccupied with Dark Souls and Atelier Rorona with a light mix of Dead Island... i can only game hop with 3 games at a time, lol...

but from what i saw it seems really fun...

anyone looking for co-op buddies, hit me up (no blank friend requests please!)

Are the only coop features just separate missions though? Or can you play through the campaign (or whatever "story mode" RAGE offers) with other players?
