My First Set Complete a setlist on any difficulty setting. |
![]() |
| Start the first setlist, "Scratching the Surface", and play it through to completion on a difficulty you feel comfortable with. If you're new to the game, I would recommend Medium, as it will provide a fun challenge without being too difficult for new players. | ||||
The Full Set Complete all mixes at any difficulty setting. |
![]() |
| The best way to do this is to play through all of the setlists, rather than doing the songs in free play, as completion of the setlists unlocks more songs that are not initially available in free play. Play on the difficulty you feel most comfortable the first time round - you want to move onto hard as soon as you feel you're ready, and when you're comfortable with hard, move onto expert. | ||||

Super Scratchin' Successfully perform 10,000 scratches. |
![]() |
| This will unlock without you having to try for it if you are going for the Platinum trophy. If you aren't, or by some miracle you managed to beat every song on Expert without this unlocking, playing Beats and Pieces repeatedly on Expert is the fastest way to raise your cumulative total of scratches. | ||||
Harsh Fader Successfully perform 5,000 crossfader moves. |
![]() |
| This will unlock without you having to try for it if you are going for the Platinum trophy. If you aren't, or by some miracle you managed to beat every song on Expert without this unlocking, playing Groundhog on Hard or Expert is a very quick way to rack up crossfader moves. | ||||
Freestyle DJ Turn the effects dial during every Effects Zone, and trigger a sample in every Freestyle Sample Zone in any mix on hard difficulty or above. |
![]() |
| This is easiest to do on one of the Very Low Intensity songs such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them". If your hands are large enough and it's comfortable to do so, try and use your little finger to turn the effects dial whilst holding on to the crossfader. If you can't do this, just make sure that you know where they both are without looking and switch quickly to the effects dial when there's an Effects Zone coming up, and make sure to hit the red button in the Freestyle Sample Zones at least once. | ||||
Special Effects! Turn the effects dial during every Effects Zone in any mix at any difficulty (not in the tutorial). |
![]() |
| I would recommend doing this on hard, as doing so will net you the Freestyle DJ trophy as well, but of you're having trouble, it can be done on easy, where there is no crossfading to worry about, so your off-hand can always be on the effects dial. This is easiest on a Very Low Intensity song, such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them". | ||||
No Mistakes Allowed Successfully perform all scratches in any mix on hard difficulty or above. |
![]() |
| This is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them", as there are very few scratches in this band of songs and they're fairly slow. It's best to do this on hard rather than expert, as if there are extended scratch sections, you have to do them in the correct direction at the correct time on expert, and you only have to move the turntable back and forth during hard. | ||||
Tap King Successfully press the platter button(s) for all tap icons in any mix on hard difficulty or above. |
![]() |
| This is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song, such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them", as there will be fewer taps and the taps will be more spaced apart. The number of taps is usually the same between hard and expert, so if you're comfortable with directional scratches, play the song on expert. If you're finding it difficult crossfading and hitting the taps at the same time, deploy Euphoria during the section and if needed try tapping two-handed whilst the Euphoria lasts. | ||||
Fantastic Fader Successfully perform all crossfades and crossfade spikes (if present) in any mix on hard difficulty or above. |
![]() |
| This is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them", as there will be no crossfader spikes, the presence of which increases the difficulty of this trophy dramatically. If you're having difficulty performing the taps and scratches as well as crossfading, you can just do the crossfading without worrying about taps or scratches for this trophy. | ||||
Superstar DJ Get a 100% Hits in any mix on hard difficulty or above. |
![]() |
| This is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them". This trophy entails hitting all taps, scratches and crossfades, but not all Effects Zones or Freestyle Sample Zones, so keep your hand on the crossfader rather than the effects dial when going for this trophy. This will become easier with repeat play, as you will quickly get to learn the placement and timing of all the actions on the song, if you don't manage it the first time. | ||||
Good Times Earn 10 stars by playing any of the mixes in the Grandmaster Flash Presents setlist. |
![]() |
| The Grandmaster Flash Presents setlist contains three songs, so you only need to obtain ten out of a possible fifteen stars, meaning that you can make quite a few mistakes and still be successful in getting this trophy. If you're struggling, turn the difficulty down to easy, as there are no difficulty requirements for this trophy. | ||||
Multiplier Madness Achieve an 8X multiplier during any mix (not in the tutorial). |
![]() |
| This is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them", as there are no tricky parts to trip you up and make you lose your combo. It can be done on any difficulty, so if you're having trouble, try it on easy. Focus on hitting every action in the song, especially in the euphoria sections. Once you have at least one bar of euphoria, either wait until you have a multiplier of four and hit the euphoria button, which will double your multiplier to eight, or use the euphoria to help you get a multiplier of eight (although you might want to save up all three bars of euphoria if you plan on doing it this way). | ||||
REEEWIINNNNDD!!! Perform 4 rewinds without missing any icons in any mix on any difficulty. |
![]() |
| The description of this trophy is ambiguous - you can miss actions in the song and still get this trophy, but you can't miss actions during the actual rewind itself else it won't count towards the four that you need. This is easiest to do on a longer song, the one I found best was "I Heard It Through The Grapevine vs Feel Good Inc." as there is probably room for five or more rewinds if you don't miss many notes and use them as soon as you get them, and the song isn't too difficult. Attempt this on a difficulty you feel comfortable with, as it takes longer to get rewinds on expert (sixty actions) but there are also more notes, whereas it only takes thirty on easy but there aren't nearly as many actions to perform. Practice makes perfect, so if you're having trouble, try turning down the difficulty and keep playing the song so you learn where the actions are. | ||||

Graduation Complete the tutorial Learn to DJ - Advanced Techniques. |
![]() |
| The tutorials are a good way of learning how to play, and I would recommend playing through both the basic and advanced tutorial. You don't have to do well in the lessons to progress, so just ignore Grandmaster Flash and keep advancing, even if he recommends repeating a lesson, and by the end you'll have this trophy. | ||||

Double Trouble Complete a 2 player one on one local game (DJ v DJ only). |
![]() |
| You will need to have two turntables for this trophy, so either persuade a friend to buy this excellent rhythm game and borrow theirs temporarily, or if you don't have any easily persuadable friends, buy a second turntable. After that, just pick a song from the quicklist, add the second player on the appropriate menu screen, and play the song to completion. You don't have to win or even press any buttons, as long as there are two controllers there, it will unlock at the end. | ||||

Supporting Act Join 3 online games, completing at least one mix in each game. |

You can do this with one other person, they just need to create three games that you join and complete. There should be an open channel of communication between you, such as an instant messenger or voice chat, so that they can tell you exactly what the game's setup is, which will ensure you join their game and not someone else's by accident. | ||||

New Jack Complete your first mix (not in a tutorial). |
![]() |
| This will unlock if you're playing through the setlists sequentially, but if you want to get it especially then go to quicklist, pick a song you like the sound of, and play it through to completion - there is no failing out in DJ Hero, unlike its guitar-based brethren, so once the song is over, this will unlock. | ||||

Four Star Earn 4 stars in any mix on hard difficulty. |
![]() |
| This will unlock without having to try for it if you're going for the platinum. This will become easier the more you play the game, as your skill with the turntable controller improves over time, so I would suggest that you wait until you can easily five-star songs on medium before you advance to hard and try this. It's easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them", as there aren't really any tricky bits to trip you up and make you lose your combo. Keep practicing and learning the song until you manage to get four stars on it. | ||||

The Gift of Music Unlock a bonus mix on any set list (where available). |
![]() |
| The first setlist with a bonus song for you to unlock is Grandmaster Flash Presents, and the requirement for unlocking it is getting three stars on the two non-bonus songs in that setlist. It can be done on any difficulty, so if you're having trouble, try playing on easy. You don't need to play the bonus mix to unlock this trophy, but you will want to play it anyway in order to get the Good Times trophy. | ||||

My 50 Pence Attain a 50 streak in any mix on hard difficulty or above using a DJ Heroâ„¢ Turntable Controller. |
![]() |
| This trophy is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them", as there are very few fast or tricky sections which could potentially trip up your combo, and there are no spikes and easy crossfading. Trying for "Tonight we DJ in Hell!" will likely get you this trophy without having to try for it specially. | ||||

Tonight we DJ in Hell! Attain a 300 streak in any mix on expert difficulty using a DJ Heroâ„¢ Turntable Controller. |
![]() |
| This trophy is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them". You will need to almost full combo the song, as there are just over three hundred actions available, but this should not be too difficult as there are only simple and slow directional scratches and easy crossfading with no spikes. Once you have played the song through a few times you will know what to expect from the song and will likely be able to pull the song off flawlessly. | ||||

All Over the World Complete a mix in every venue. |
![]() |

| If you are playing every setlist through sequentially on a difficulty that you can easily four or five star all songs on, then all venues will be unlocked long before you reach the final setlist. Every time you unlock a new venue, switch to it and use it from then on - this way you can be sure you have used every single one by the time they have all unlocked. If they are already unlocked and you haven't kept track of which you've played in, just play one song from the Quicklist in each venue once. | ||||

Five in Ten Earn 5 Stars in any 10 mixes on medium difficulty or above. |

| If you're going for the platinum trophy, this should unlock without needing to try for it specially. If you're not, play songs sequentially starting from the Very Low Intensity end of the Quicklist on medium difficulty, re-trying them if you fail to five star them, until you've played ten. | ||||

Legendary Status Earn 5 stars in every mix on hard difficulty or above. |
![]() |
Play through all the songs, either by doing all the setlists if it's your first playthrough, or by going through the quicklist if you've already beaten the last setlist (which is preferable as some of the game's setlists have repeated songs), making sure to five-star each song as you go along. If you fail to five-star a song on your first try, then play it repeatedly until you are familiar with it, then five-starring it should be easier. There will likely be some songs that will give you quite a bit of trouble, as the only real difference between hard and expert is the number of directional scratch sections - everything is as fast on hard as it is on expert, so the notes will come flying at you on some songs. For the really difficult songs late on like Groundhog, try and ace the first half of the song, as it will give you a good amount of room for error when the closing minutes of the song come, which are typically quite a bit harder. |

The Grandmaster! Earn 5 stars in every mix on medium difficulty or above. |
![]() |

If you are able to, it is easier to do your first playthrough of all or at least the majority of songs on Hard, as this will reduce the number of times you will need to go through them all. Play through all the songs, either by doing all the setlists if it's your first playthrough, or by going through the quicklist if you've already beaten the last setlist (which is preferable as some of the game's setlists have repeated songs), making sure to five-star each song as you go along. 360 Degrees Perform a 360 degree rewind in any mix without missing any icons on hard or expert difficulty. |
![]() |
| You only have to not miss any icons during the section you rewinded through, not the whole song. This is best done on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Fuzz and Them", as getting up a combo of 50 or 60 to get a rewind shouldn't be too hard, and there are some good quiet sections to use your rewind where you'll have to hit very little notes. Just make sure to spin the turntable back by one full rotation, then don't miss any actions until the rewind ends. | ||||

720 Degrees Perform a 720 degree rewind in any mix without missing any icons on expert difficulty. |
![]() |
| You only have to not miss any icons during the section you rewinded through, not the whole song. This is best done on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Fuzz and Them", as getting up a combo of 60 to get a rewind shouldn't be too hard due to the very scarce directional scratches, and there are some good quiet sections to use your rewind where you'll have to hit very little notes. Just make sure to spin the turntable back by two full rotations - if it seems to be going further than that, just clamp down on it with your hand once the buttons are in the right place after it's spun twice - and don't miss any actions until the rewind ends. | ||||

The New Style Construct and play all the mixes in a quicklist online with another player. |
![]() |
The online for DJ Hero is all-but-dead, so it would be most sensible to boost this trophy, but that being said if you are going for Supporting Act, Headliner and Win Online this should unlock anyway, as playing a whole setlist would be very ineffective as a boosting tactic. This trophy's wording is confusing - you don't need to play every song online, it means all the mixes you add to the playlist from within the Quicklist, not all the mixes in the game. As such, it's easiest to only add one mix, as then you get the trophy after playing only one song. |

Guitar and DJ Play the Guitar DJ mode with one player as the DJ and the other as the Guitarist. |
![]() |

| To do this trophy, you will either have to have both a DJ Hero controller and a guitar controller, or alternatively if you have a friend with a guitar controller and a copy of DJ Hero, you can play over the PlayStation Network to obtain this trophy. Spin Back King Perform 20 rewinds. |
![]() |
| Rewinds can be earned by getting a combo of 20 on beginner, 30 on easy, 40 on medium, 50 on hard or 60 on expert. Once you have one, spin the turntable back one or more entire rotations to use it. Do this 20 times cumulatively. | ||||

Walk in Wardrobe Complete any 10 mixes in 10 different outfits. |
![]() |
| All DJs except for the celebrity DJs have multiple outfits each, so every setlist or Quicklist song you play, choose a new outfit, and when you have worn all a DJ's outfits, choose a new DJ. There may be times when you don't have another one unlocked, in which case, just use the same one for a while until more are unlocked, as more are unlocked by raising your total stars. | ||||

The Vinyl Cut Earn 20 stars by playing any of the mixes in The Vinyl Cut setlist. |
![]() |
| The Vinyl Cut is one of the latest setlists in the game, so it is filled with songs of a difficulty that reflect this. As such, it would be most sensible to attempt this trophy on medium difficulty or below, as getting 20 stars on hard or expert is quite a challenge, and it's easier to go back and beat the songs on hard or expert individually from the quicklist than doing them all in the setlist again. Just pick a difficulty that you can handle with ease and play the setlist through, you should have 20 stars before the end. | ||||

DJ Shadow Presents... Earn 15 stars by playing any of the mixes in the DJ Shadow Presents setlist. |
![]() |
| The DJ Shadow Presents setlist is towards the tail end of the game, but the songs in it are not overly difficult. It can be done on any difficulty, so if you haven't mastered hard mode by this point in the game, fall back to medium or below. There are four songs in the setlist, so you can afford to miss five stars in total. | ||||
Bonus Bangers Unlock all available bonus mixes from all setlists. |
![]() |
| If you're playing on a difficulty that allows you to five-star most songs on the first try as recommended, you shouldn't need to try for this, as the requirements for unlocking bonus mixes are very low, usually requiring getting three stars on all other mixes in the setlist. Of course, if you don't unlock the bonus mix, play the setlist again on a lower difficulty until you do. Once you have worked your way through all the setlists, this will have unlocked. | ||||
Turntable Perfection Earn 5 stars in every mix on expert difficulty. |
![]() |
This is by far the hardest trophy in the game, and the only real advice to give for it is to just keep practicing. If you can't beat a song, just keep trying it over and over, and you'll learn the actions and get better at it. Always try and do well early on in the song, if you know it's futile to continue playing through it's quicker to just restart the mix. Make sure to use Euphoria well, it can be the difference between three stars and five stars on certain songs. It's generally best used to auto-crossfade when there are lots of spikes and tricky crossfades, but it can be put to use effectively elsewhere such as fast tapping sections to boost your score from each action. Once you've played through a song once or twice you will know if there are places you need to save Euphoria for and so five-starring the song will become easier. Never use a rewind and Euphoria at the same time as it squanders an 8x multiplier. Use rewinds first, as they only charge when you don't have |

Here Comes the Hot Starter Earn 50 Hot Starts in any complete mixes. |
![]() |
| To get a Hot Start, you will need to play the first section of a song perfectly, although quite how long this is varies from song to song. You will likely get this as you try for Legendary Status and Turntable Perfection, but if you aren't going for the platinum it can be gotten by playing Very Low Intensity songs such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them" repeatedly. The game will let you know when you have achieved a Hot Start during the song. Just rack up 50 of them cumulatively. | ||||

Shout Out Complete any mix using a microphone or headset in a single player game. |
![]() |
| You will need either a headset or a microphone for this trophy, obviously - anything will do, it can be a Bluetooth headset used for voice chat, a Singstar mic, a Rock Band mic, a Karaoke Revolution or X Factor mic, etc. Just plug it in, make sure it's switched on an play a song, and you'll unlock this trophy at the end of the next song you play. | ||||

Euphoria DJ Complete all the Perfect Regions and activate Euphoria in any mix on hard difficulty or above. |
![]() |
| The Perfect Regions are often some of the trickiest places in the songs, and they're the only things you have to worry about for this trophy, so a good strategy is to complete the first Perfect Region and use that one's Euphoria on the next Perfect Region. This way, you should always have Euphoria for every Perfect Region in the song if you time it well. Of course, it makes it much easier if you do it on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them". | ||||
Euphoric Hoarder Successfully play all the Perfect Regions in any mix on hard difficulty or above, without activating Euphoria. |
![]() |
| This is easiest to do on a Very Low Intensity song such as "Ain't No Love vs Fuzz and Them". Play through the song on hard difficulty without touching the Euphoria button at any point, and making sure to hit every note in all the Perfect Regions - it doesn't matter if you mess up outside a Perfect Region. Practice the song a few times if you're having trouble, but it shouldn't be too difficult to manage, as the Very Low Intensity songs have very easy crossfading so not having Euphoria isn't too much of a loss. | ||||
The Power of Two Both players activate Euphoria and Star Power simultaneously in Guitar DJ Mode. |
![]() |
To do this trophy, you will either have to have both a DJ Hero controller and a guitar controller, or alternatively if you have a friend with a guitar controller and a copy of DJ Hero, you can play over the PlayStation Network to obtain this trophy. Agree who should activate Euphoria / Star Power first before you start to play, and when the agreed player has activated theirs, the other person should then immediately activate theirs also, so both are active at the same time. They do not need to be switched on at the same time, they just need to overlap somewhat. Make sure you play on a song that both players can cope with, such as "The Big Beat vs Lapdance", as this should ensure that the second player has Euphoria or Star Power ready as soon as the first player activates theirs. It might be best to wait until later in the song, as it is more likely that both players will have it then. |

The Choice Is Yours Complete an 8 mix custom setlist on medium difficulty or above and get at least 3 stars on all mixes. |
![]() |
| In the main menu there are two items labelled "Custom Setlist 1" and "Custom Setlist 2" respectively. Open one of those up, fill it with either eight songs you like, or eight of the easiest songs, depending on your playing ability, and then play it through on medium difficulty and make sure to get three stars on each. This should be easy to do if you pick all songs from the Very Low Intensity and Low Intensity brackets. | ||||

Master Blaster Complete a setlist using the Ghetto Blaster deck. |
![]() |
| The Ghetto Blaster deck is the last unlock in the game, and requires five stars on every song to unlock. It is similar to the "five star all songs trophies", then, but unlike the other "five star all songs" trophies, this one is not difficulty specific, so the songs can be five starred on easy or even beginner. Once you have unlocked the Ghetto Blaster deck, just use it on one song in the Quicklist and this trophy will unlock. | ||||
