I would recommend only using the plasma cutter, line gun and pulse rifle. Fully upgrade the plasma cutter then alternate with HP and line gun. Then max out your stasis. Buy the plasma rifle just before the hive mind (Chapter 12), and fully upgrade it, buying power nodes if needed (remember to pick up the peng treasure). Sell all other ammo you pick up (Ripper, Fuel etc.), air cannisters, you can either store or sell stasis refills, I recommend keeping 2-4 on you. All this plus the semi-conductors/peng should be mroe than enough to cover the cost of power nodes as you need 73 power nodes for this run, I believe there are 35 one play through so you'll need to buy 38, 380,000 is easily achievable, I finished with 70k that I could blow of pulse ammo for the boss. Don't bother using power nodes on doors unless you really want ammo or something. You can splash a bit on medigels if you really need but I stored all larges in the safe until chapter 12 and used all smalls as soon as I picked them up if I was short on health |

| The Plasma Cutter is easily the best weapon in Dead Space, especially when it's maxed out. This can be accomplished on Normal difficulty, but if things are getting too hairy, you can set the game on Easy and use one of the DLC suits to store more ammo for it. | ||||

| During Chapter 11, after you work your way back up to the landing bay where your original ship was docked and exploded, the Peng trophy is located between the catwalk piers opposite of where the original ship was. Simply use your TK power to bring it to you. Look for the shiny gold dot between the piers. | ||||
