 Laura | You will unlock this trophy after completing Chapter 9: The Matriarch. It will begin with a couple of brief dialogue sections: one with Dylan and Kaitlyn, and another with Abi and Emma (depending on if Emma was bitten in Chapter 6 rather than Chapter 4). You'll then meet back up with Laura, who's being interrogated. |
- This is your first opportunity to kill Constance as part of
Family Matters. Tap 
until the circle turns green, where you'll be met with a flashback to that watermelon-smashing game from earlier. If you fail the QTE, Constance will survive to the end of the game unless Bobby is stabbed by Ryan. She can also shoot Laura in the head (as can Jedediah), but don't worry as Laura can't be killed for good until Chris is dead.- Note that if you're trying to keep in Travis' good books to ensure Laura's safety later on, killing his mother won't have any effect on the outcome (only if you shot him in Chapter 7), so you can still go for
Rough Night if you killed off Constance.
- Ryan being stabbed (or as Bobby interprets it, stealing his knife) is part of the story, so you can't prevent it from happening.
 Ryan | Having escaped from the previous room, Ryan will be slowly bleeding out and has to make a quick decision about whether or not to remove the knife that's still stuck to him. |
- If you're going for Family Matters or Last Man Standing, let the timer deplete when given the option to pull the knife out. You'll need to keep it on you (or in you) so that you can use it on Bobby later, which will weaken him for an upcoming event.
- Firstly, don't interact with the door yet as this will cause you to miss the collectibles. You can find 1 tarot card and 1 piece of evidence in this room.
- Interacting with the cabinet provides another hiding spot, but this makes no difference to the outcome. For the Don't Breathe event, you'll need to keep held down until the bar is very low. That said, however, Ryan cannot be killed by Bobby here anyway.
- If you want Family Matters or Last Man Standing, it's vital that you tap to block the door with the cabinet after running through the doorway, else Bobby will pull the knife out here and you won't be able to use it.
 Laura | After escaping from the previous room, Laura will be desperately looking for a way out of this humungous, creepy house. You actually can almost do this section with your eyes closed since it's only until a little later on that she can be killed, though this isn't recommended if you need collectibles. |
- It's worth noting that choosing to run or hide has no major impact. Either way, she'll end up in the room mentioned below.
- There is 1 clue in this immediate area, then another upstairs, as well as a tarot card.
- This is your first opportunity to kill daddy Hackett for Family Matters. To kill him, pass all the QTEs, choose ATTACK (
), then finish by tapping . As with Constance, however, you can just stab Bobby later to get them all killed.
| Ryan | Ryan's injury is now getting the better of him and there's just no chance of outpacing Bobby Hackett's thunderous strides. |
- If you need Family Matters, stab Bobby with , though he won't die until a little later on.
- Your decision will impact Rough Night, Blood Pact, Hackett's Quarry Massacre, Last Man Standing, Peanut Butter Butterpops! and
Phlebotomy.- If you want Ryan to live past Chapter 9, choose ACCEPT () and let the timer deplete when given the option to pull away.
- For Ryan to die, choose DECLINE (
) and he will bleed out at the end of the chapter.
- If you want Ryan to live past Chapter 9, choose ACCEPT (
 Dylan | There aren't any vehicle repair companies operating in North Kill at this time of night, so Dylan and Kaitlyn are in the scrapyard, looking for vehicle parts that will allow them to finally leave. |
- There is 1 clue in the area you start off in (before you open the gate).
- Once you're through the gate, there is 1 tarot card and 1 clue in this open area. Collect what you need before approaching the stairs leading up to the crane.
- To get Kaitlyn infected, pick WARN KAITLYN (), pass the
QTE, pick SLAM CAR (), then do nothing when the button tap event starts. If you got everyone else infected prior to this point, Blood Pact will unlock here. - If Dylan is not infected, he can be killed by choosing WARN KAITLYN (), passing the QTE, choosing SOUND HORN (), and then doing nothing when the button tap event starts.
- For Dylan and Kaitlyn to get through the section unscathed (provided Dylan was not infected earlier on), do the same as the above bullet point, but perform all the QTEs correctly, then finish off with passing the QTE and passing another button tap event.
- If Dylan was bitten in Chapter 5 and his hand wasn't cut off, he will turn and won't be around for Chapter 10.
 Abigail | This part will only happen if Abi's head isn't currently lying somewhere in the pool house. She'll either be alone in the storm shelter or Emma will be with her. Their plan is to wait there until daybreak, but where's the excitement in that? |
- There is 1 tarot card in this area, "The Hierophant". Picking it up used to void Hard Pass as Eliza will get angry and won't comment on any other cards you collected in this chapter, though after an update, the trophy has still popped after collecting it. But if you aren’t looking to pick up tarot cards, it’s perhaps best to avoid it.
- Interact with the fusebox in the lit-up area to pick up some silver shells. These can be used to help out Kaitlyn in Chapter 10.
- If Emma was infected in Chapter 6, she'll turn after you interact with the ladder. To keep Abi alive, be sure to pick LADDER (). Note that even if Dylan went down the ladder earlier, the only risk to Abi's survival is if you fail the QTE (tap ) while climbing up.
| Ryan | It's all come to this. Laura has finally found the member of the Hackett family she's been searching for all this time. For some reason, he's chained up in a creaky old attic rather than being safely placed in an electrified cage a few floors down, but anyway... |
- If you stabbed Bobby earlier, he'll be killed by his brother (if not, he'll just be knocked out).
- If you shoot Chris, this will lift the curse from anyone who might have been affected (Laura, Ryan, Emma, and Max). They'll be healthy again, but will also be vulnerable to death. Killing him is necessary for Rough Night, Hackett's Quarry Massacre, Family Matters, Last Man Standing, Peanut Butter Butterpops! and The White Wolf.
- If you don't shoot Chris or if Ryan declined Laura's offer, he will die, and Laura and Travis will kill each other. Chris can also potentially kill an uninfected Jacob in Chapter 10.
 Laura | If Chris was killed, Laura's curse will be lifted. But her survival may still be under threat depending on where she stands with Travis. |
- If Laura tranquilised Travis or didn’t shoot him in Chapter 7, you will earn Above the Law after choosing SUSPICIOUS ().
- But if Ryan bled out, Laura and Travis will fight over the dropped shotgun. Completing the QTE () results in Travis' death, while failing it results in Laura's death or results in her being locked in the basement by Travis, depending upon where they stand. But if you kill Travis this way, you will earn Should've Gone to the Motel later (seemingly the only way to get it).
- But if Ryan bled out, Laura and Travis will fight over the dropped shotgun. Completing the QTE (
- If Laura did shoot Travis in Chapter 7, he will stab her to death.
- For Ryan to survive (the scenario you'll be in for Last Man Standing), choose AGGRESSIVE (), then complete the QTE (
) and shoot him. This isn’t known for certain, but shooting him could add progress to Peanut Butter Butterpops! if your story went differently from how the roadmap/trophy recommends.- For Ryan to die, just fail this QTE.
